There is definitely some monkey business going on with the monkey in the animated film, Monkey Business. It is a humorous, yet simple film which appeals to younger audiences. The monkey is the snack shack owner, and is mischievous in an entertaining way. The characters have personalities that are enjoyable to watch.

The film begins with a monkey visiting a food shack. He doesn't like the food he receives from the monkey in the shack. He gives it to a plant that enjoys it and gives the shack a bad review. The owner decides he doesn't agree with bad review.

The story starts out easy to follow and cute. However, the way the story ends is difficult to understand. The camerawork quality is very good. The camera zooms in for close-ups of the characters expressions which is a nice touch. The sets are very detailed and create more depth to the story. For example, the food shack has lots of little details such as the customer rating chart. The music is very upbeat and fits the tone of the story. The characters each have their own specific personalities. My favorite part is how the customers give their food to a plant because they don't like it and the plant enjoys all the food the customers give it.

The message is that everyone has different opinions and that is completely okay.

I give Monkey Business 3.5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 4 to 8. By Carlee S., KIDS FIRST!
