Ripple is a charming animated film from a student filmmaker at the DigiPen Institute of Technology in Washington.

The story follows a mermaid whose best friend is a statue and it's damaged. Along comes a new merman into her tank and she is reluctant to accept him until things change.

I love the animation of this short non narrative film. It's bright and colorful and tells the story without the need of dialogue. The storyline is easy to follow and could appeal to even very young children.

I give this 3.5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 6 to 12. By Julie S, KIDS FIRST!
