Mimi's Good Night will make you smile as you watch the transition from chaos to calm.

The storyline follows a group of young children engaged in a bit of pre-bed chaos until the mom intervenes and bedtime rituals and a calm transition to bedtime takes over.

I really like the animation style that the creator, Jackie Ross, uses. It's whimsical and fun. Her images of the children at the beginning in complete chaotic pillow fight mode are laughable. When the mom steps in and leads the children into following a little bit more regimented bedtime transition, from teeth brushing to star gazing, it makes you appreciate the value of order in our lives. The gentle background music is well utilized in this non-narrative piece, which relies on the music to enhance its mood. The message of the film is that routine leads to calmness, especially at bedtime.

I give Mimi's Good Night 4 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 2-6, plus adults. By Julie S., KIDS FIRST!

These children have a hard time going to bed until they fall into their bedtime routine.
