On a cold winter night, Something from Tiffany's will melt your heart and have you dreaming of blue boxes with sparkly surprises.

Love isn't always perfect, like a Tiffany's diamond. Rachel Meyer's (Zoey Deutch) life suddenly changes on Christmas day when she receives a surprising gift from her boyfriend, Gary (Ray Nicholson), and he is just as surprised as she. That same morning Ethan Greene (Kendrick Sampson) watches his future fiance Vanessa (Shay Mitchell) open a gift box only to discover the engagement ring he purchased has turned into earrings. This unintentional gift exchange sets off a series of humorous and heartfelt events encouraging Rachel and Ethan to find their true happiness and love.

I love how well this movie quietly integrates the magic of New York City during the holidays to highlight romance and self-discovery. Zoey Deutch's strong performance as Rachel has you rooting for her to set boundaries and find a healthy, loving relationship. And Kendrick Sampson's performance as Ethan Greene exudes a warm and charismatic personality which makes him the perfect choice for the right girl. The chemistry between the key characters creates effortless attraction, making you forget the complications in this romantic comedy. Ray Nicholson as Gary, Shay Mitchell as Vanessa, and Leah Jeffries as Daisy all play supporting roles with depth and honesty to the reality that love isn't always easy. Director Daryl Wein keeps the romantic moments authentic and light-hearted.

We often hear "everything happens for a reason" and in Something from Tiffany's, this is a huge understatement. Taking the risk to find love and cherishing the love between friends and family are themes celebrated throughout the film. Plus, it reminds us to follow our dreams and not fear failure.

I rate Something from Tiffany's 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 12 to 18, plus adults. Something from Tiffany's premieres on Prime Video December 9, 2022.
