ARTIST, FORMERLY KNOWN AS VARONA - GINJI SERIES, EPISODE 4 cover image
Interesting and well made. This would fit well for our KIDS FIRST! Film Festivals that specialize in animation. Ginji and Varona encounter the Mushrooms, a vast underground garbage collecting monopoly that is also the city's criminal network. Varona, in her new persona of a contemporary conceptual artist, gets herself in trouble with the head of the family forcing Ginji and UB7 to save her.

Great animation, very colorful, detailed and comical. I love the characters; they are all so unique and well defined. Their movements are hysterical also. The voiceover talent is also very good, although I could forego the high squeaky voices of the Mushroom people crowd. The metaphor of the underground garbage collecting monopoly being synonymous with the criminal network is clever.

Artist, Formerly Known as Varona; Ginji series, Episode 4 gets 3.5 out of 5 stars from me and I recommend it for ages 5 to 12. By Julie S., KIDS FIRST!
