I like Save Our Soil and how it brings awareness to soil, which isn't something that we hear about very often. The visuals and diagrams are well made and help you to visualize exactly what is being discussed.

This documentary is about how the quality and quantity of soil are decreasing around the world.

I like how the film is filled with true and surprising facts. It helps bring awareness to the decrease of both quality and quantity of soil, while explaining why it's happening. The filmmaker uses models and statistics to support his presentation. It's captivating -- the narrator builds anticipation by the tone of his voice and asking questions that are later answered. The film has a lot of diagrams as well as many nature scenes that show healthy soil versus dying soil. The background music is piano music with a sorrowful tone that supports a dire mood for the audience, perhaps making them empathetic. This documentary is written, produced, directed and narrated by 16-year-old Ayush Talukder. He created this project while in high school, which is extremely impressive and remarkable. He is interested in STEM and reviving natural resources. My favorite part of the film is Ayush's narration. His presentation is entertaining and calming. It brings together the documentary in a very professional way.

The film's message is to develop an awareness of the need to address the poor condition of our planet's soil. If not, it could lead to famine. If we protect our soil, it will regenerate itself and become healthy again.

I give Save our Soil 3.5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 8 to 18, plus adults. By Sydney S. and Julie S., KIDS FIRST!

A student created documentary that highlights the great risk to global soil within the next 50 years and what we need to drive legislation for.
