Touching story, well presented.

This coming of age tale is a love story about Andrs who has a crush on a girl at school who he wants to dance with at the end of the year ball, but has a problem in that his shoe has a gaping hole in it and he has no money to buy a new pair. Andres has just an afternoon to repair his shoe or find a new pair and he does his best - which falls short. In the end, he discovers another girl who may be more suitable for him.

Well made. Beautiful script, lovely camera work, delightful acting. Andres, played by Julin Vsquez Hernndez is particularly charming. The film is from Colombia, with dialogue in Spanish, English subtitled and definitely offers a theme that young people can relate to.

The film's message is to stand up for your own beliefs and don't let others put you down.

I give this film 4 out of 5 stars and recommend it for age 8 to 12, plus adults. By Julie S., KIDS FIRST!

Andrs has a common and meaningful problem: his right shoe has a huge hole and it seems his toe is about to escape through it. Normally, this wouldn't be such a deal, but the school year-end ball takes place in less than a day and Mariana, the girl he likes, wants to dance with him. Andres has just an afternoon to repair his shoe or find a new pair: if he wants to impress her, he must be dashing.
