The story begins seeing the two headed beings that live on the Red Planet under attack, with fire destroying their homes and their environment. They are forced to leave and migrate to The Blue Planet. However the beings there are no particularly welcoming at first, until they discover a common bond.
This non-narrative film made by elementary school children definitely holds its own. The animation is quite well done, the storyline is compelling and the turn around at the end makes sense. I love how the need for food, warmth and music brings the two different groups together as they discover their common bond.
The film's message is that all beings have a need for sustenance and that supersedes other differences.
I give The Other Planet 3.5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for aes 5 to 8. By Julie S., KIDS FIRST!
