The focus of this film is to demonstrate how plastic from single use plastic bags, water bottles, and similar finds its way to the ocean and harms the animals who live there.
I love the color palette of this film; it's very subdued and reminds me of the ocean in so many ways. The background music perfect accompanies this film and makes up for the lack of dialogue. The images themselves - of schools of fish, to a single turtle, to fish and jellyfish -- all represent the vast array of critters that live in our oceans and how susceptible they are to plastic pollution.
The film's message is about not polluting the ocean with plastic waste.
I give The Plastic Problem 4 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 5 to 12. By Julie S., KIDS FIRST!
