The storyline centers on a group of students who are delayed leaving school as they wait to print out a toy on a 3D printer. Finally, that is completed, they discover that they are locked in the building and suddenly odd things begin to happen.
The actors in this film really make it. They express their fear and horror in a realistic way and made me think that what they were experiencing was real. The special effects are well used -- nothing over the top, but appropriate to the story. The camera work, audio recording and editing are all well done - especially for elementary school students.
The film's message is about adapting to change without losing your cool.
I give Lights Out 3.5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 8 to 12. By Julie S., KIDS FIRST!
