The story follows a female mail carrier who is deathly afraid of dogs, and you see how much when she encounters a not so friendly one at the beginning. Next up is a little puppy who is infatuated with her and manages to escape from his home to follow her - with his green ball - wanting to play. She avoids him until he rescues her at a house with a "dangerous dog" who, as it turns out, also just wants to play ball. In the end, her fear fades. The animation is definitely charming, similar to old PlayStation Game characters; the background music and sound effects are perfect - and the story is a sweet game changer.
The film's message is about letting go of past fears and allowing someone or something to guide us to a new awareness.
I give Return to Sender 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 5 to 12. By Julie S., KIDS FIRST!
