16-year-old Zhiheng Xie delivers a sensitive message told by images and narrative about how music has affected his life and led his integration into US culture in a subtle way. It's beautifully told, narrated by Zhiheng Xie himself with unobtrusive background music playing throughout. Its only shortcoming is its abrupt ending and lack of end credits.
I give Music: My Friend, My Hero 3.5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 12 to 18, plus adults. By Janet S., KIDS FIRST!
