Beautiful tribute by a young teen to his grandfather. Brought tears to my eyes.

This sweet documentary pays homage to a boy's grandfather through a montage of images of them together and a narrative describing their relationship. I particularly enjoyed the credits at the end, drawn in the sand and washed away by the waves. It's a reminder of the impact that an older relative makes on your life and how precious your time together truly was.

I give Forgetting to be Grandpa 4 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 8 to 18, plus adults. By Janet S., KIDS FIRST!

When 17-year-old Alexander passes the bust of his grandpa, he remembers whom he is supposed to be. This is the very relatable tale of what every human must face: can we pry ourselves from everything that distracts us to honor those who gave us wings?
