The story is a reflection of the aftermath of the horrific fires in California in 2025 that destroyed communities, neighborhoods, and changed the lives of so many people.
This short film is narrated by a young girl and is her story about how the fire affected her, her family and friends and community. Her narration is enhance by movement as she expresses herself through dance as well as voice. It's well made with excellent camera work, audio recording and editing.
Its message is really about all the lives that were affected by these fires and how, in the end, the most important thing was surviving. Houses can be replaced. Schools can be replaces, but human beings cannot.
I give The Afterdance 4 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 8 to 18, plus adults. By Julie S., KIDS FIRST!
