DunDun is a thought-provoking, beautifully animated short film. Set in an old toy store going out of business, the story follows DunDun, a doll, and Bao Bao, a plushie, as they try to dress themselves up to find a buyer. With very little dialogue, writer, director, and producer Bin Wang relies on expressive character animation, detailed world-building, and an evocative soundtrack to tell the story. A standout flashback song highlights a happier time when the store owner first created the duo, adding rich emotional depth.

While the storyline pushes the characters into desperate moments, their unwavering support for one another drives the film forward. DunDun offers a sweet, heartwarming message: even when things get tough, stay positive.

In an old toy store that is going out of business, the two purple dolls try very hard to dress themselves up in order to be bought, but in the end they are still thrown into the waste bin.
