What a stunning piece of animation. This is what KIDS FIRST! is all about - creative, brilliantly executed, wonderful message.

The storyline follows a young boy in the mountains of Columbia escaping the horrors of war that are destroying his village. His flight is guided by his ancestors who lead him to discover his hidden powers and transform him into Tuktu, a creature of extraordinary strength who returns to his village to sow peace and happiness.

I can't rave enough about the incredible visual images of this film; drawn from traditional folk images of the area, they are beautifully rendered in animation to relay this story. The story itself is awe-inspiring of how a simple village boy is turned into a strong hero whose efforts to return the village to one of peace are well rewarded.
