Juror Manual
Reasons for Rejecting a Title
We already discussed rejecting a film that does not meet the KIDS FIRST! baseline criteria, but we know that there may be another reason to reject a title. These might include the following.
- You may reject a title if it contains inaccurate information that could be
misleading or harmful to children. For example, a title may contain inaccurate scientific facts or
incorrect use of foreign language.
- You may find the topic of the film offensive and not relevant to children.
- You may reject a title for your own reasons as long as you provide a valid explanation.
- Remember that some products are for entertainment purposes only. Please do not reject a program because it is not educational enough.
