KIDS FIRST! Film Critics Kennedy P., comments, “Camp Rock 3 is everything fans of the original movies could hope for and then some! I love that this new movie brings back the heart, friendship, energy, and music that made the original Camp Rock movies so special, while introducing a whole new generation of campers. The cast absolutely shines! Liamani Segura lights up the screen as Sage with her incredible smile, vocals, and dancing. She was meant for this role. Brooklyn Pitts is unforgettable as Callie, the choreo queen; her acting, dancing, and personality make it impossible to look away. Hudson Stone is incredible in his first big movie role as Desi. He sings, dances, plays instruments, and you can tell how much he loves being part of the film.” See her full review below.

Camp Rock 3 is everything fans of the original movies could hope for and then some! I love that this new movie brings back the heart, friendship, energy, and music that made the original Camp Rock movies so special, while introducing a whole new generation of campers.

It has that nostalgic Camp Rock feeling while still feeling fresh for 2026. And having the Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato, and Maria Canals-Barrera return to the Camp Rock world makes it feel like the perfect connection between the original movies and this new generation.

The storyline follows Connect 3’s return to Camp Rock after losing their opening act for their upcoming reunion tour.

They begin searching the camp for the next big talent to join them on tour, bringing together a group of talented young campers. As the campers compete, friendships are tested, new relationships form, and everyone learns that getting the spotlight isn’t always what matters most.

He sings, dances, plays instruments, and you can tell how much he loves being part of the film. Malachi Barton brings a more mature and raw side to Fletch, the bad boy, and definitely stands out.

Lumi Pollack shines as Rosie and, impressively, learned to play the cello for the role. Her character’s journey of coming out of her shell and embracing being different is beautiful. Casey Trotter had me laughing as Cliff, while Ava Jean brings the perfect amount of sass as Madison, along with amazing singing and dancing. Siblings Ella Lucas and Orlando Lucas are perfect additions as Daniel and Danielle, with hilarious interactions and incredible dancing. Sherry Cola is a total spitfire as Lark, evoking so many laughs with her perfect comedic timing.

And seeing the Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato, and Maria Canals-Barrera return ties it all together. The chemistry between this cast is something you can truly feel through the screen. The Camp Rock set deserves a shout-out. It feels like a real summer camp with the lake, canoes, cabins, outdoor spaces, and all the little details that bring Camp Rock to life.

And the MUSIC is amazing! The performances, vocals, and choreography made me want to sing and dance right along with them.

The film’s message is about being yourself, believing in your talent, and embracing what makes you unique. It shows that friendship, confidence, teamwork, and following your dreams can be more important than winning. Whether you grew up with the original movies or are discovering Camp Rock for the first time, this movie is filled with heart, humor, incredible talent, friendship, and music.

I give Camp Rock 3.5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 5 to 18, plus adults.  Pack your bags and get ready to head back to Camp Rock! It premieres on the Disney Channel August 13 and Disney+ August 14, 2026.
